For Women Who Wine

Wine Sisterhood
WineSisterhoodsidelogo
The Wine Sisterhood was founded in 2007 by Terry Wheatley, Mary Ann Vagrin and Natalie Wasson, of Canopy Management. This online community is a place where women can converse about wine, food, travel, style and entertaining. Currently the "Sisterhood" has over 197,000 FaceBook Fans, as well as a presence on Twitter and Pinterest.

Canopy Management's mission is "to make wines with an original story to tell" and includes brands such as Middle Sister, pro.mis.Q.ous, Monogamy and Purple Cowboy.

We had the chance to taste these wines recently at a Holiday Trade Show. While we thoroughly enjoyed all their wines, there were three that really spoke to us.

Middle Sister Mischief Maker Cabernet

The Story
Middle Sister Mischief

Have you ever dated brothers? Worn leather pants to a wedding? Paired white wine with red meat? Then you just might be a mischief maker. You keep us up after bedtime on a school night. You change your hair color like most people change their socks. You make lives more complicated, but less boring. You'll be in the stories we tell our grandchildren. You love trouble. And we love you.

Winemaker Notes:

 what's in it?

80% Cabernet Sauvignon
20% mixed Red Varieties

 how was it made?

Warm ferment at 75F for extraction of color and character.

No oak.

Promisqous Red

The Story: Are you ready to mingle? A daring dalliance of irresistible red varietals.

Promiscous Red

Winemaker's Notes

This is why we are so darned  attractive-Fermentation-warm and long. Mixed frequently for extraction of color and dark fruit characters-to maximize our sensuous varietal nature.

Barrels

15% barrel aging-to underscore our dark and mysterious personality with a little wood.

Aromas

Ripe red and dark berry fruit, slight black pepper/white pepper, creme de cassis.

Flavors

See above. 90% of what we taste is what we

smell. And that's a fact.

Alcohol 12.1%

Food Pairing, Suggestions:

Meat. Grilled. Roasted. Pan-seared. Game that you've hunted yourself. Burgers. Pizza. Wild salmon. Pasta with a lot of mushrooms or sausages. When you're in a red wine mood and want to drink a red wine that's not so ridiculously serious.

Practice safe sipping.
